Gratitude Practices

We become so busy trying to make the season perfect, we can forget to be grateful for all we have.

AJ Jacobs author of Thanks a Thousand: A Gratitude Journey enlightens us with a few tips on how to stay grateful in your everyday life.

Read our favorite tips below.

Focus On The Positives

The turkey didn’t burn! Woohoo! Who cares if a plate broke, the guests were late, and you forgot milk? Find the small wins.

Savor Experiences

Take mental snapshots of your nights. REALLY enjoy that last bottle of Strawberry + Rose Flow. These are your memories. Make some time to enjoy and savor the moments you are thankful for.

Ask for Help

Yes, we are all superheroes. But, sometimes…ya need a hand. Call your friend, text your sister, ask your mom they will be grateful you turned to them.

Count Your Blessings

At the end of the long, long days, drift off to sleep recounting the highlights and say thank you for each of them. When you wake up you will feel refreshed and ready to take on the new day.

Discover the Hidden Masterpieces

Hang up your kid’s turkey made from a cut out of their hand. Every time you walk past you will smile and feel grateful for their sweet soul.

Write Thank You Notes

It’s the simplest act of gratitude, but it will leave a big impact. From the barista to the butcher, tell everyone who helped make your holiday thank you.

Spark Action

Gratitude can change the world around you. So, pay it forward this year and show anyone and everyone how thankful you are they are in your life.
