Where is Flow Water from?
Flow water is 100% artesian spring water from Bruce County, Ontario, Canada.
How is the water filtered at the source?
The water is naturally filtered: Groundwater is renewed by rain that infiltrates the Earth’s surface, moving deeper via gravity. The water then moves through the pore spaces between the grains of sand, silt and migrates towards the limestone and dolostone aquifer from which the production well draws water. Each step of the way, impurities are removed and minerals dissolve giving the water its unique taste and appeal.
How is the water filtered once it leaves the source?
Upon extraction, the water passes through double filtration and gets UV treated. This is to ensure only the highest quality water makes it into the transportation vehicle.
At the plant, the water passes through double filtration and gets UV treated prior to entering the filling machine, A/3 Flex. This is to ensure the water stays clear of any impurities from transport.
Filtering prior to the ultraviolet water purifier removes contaminants and particulates that may interfere with the ultraviolet process. Ultraviolet (UV) light is a form of light that is invisible to the human eye. The UV light between 200 and 300 nanometers are categorized as germicidal. This capability has allowed widespread adoption of UV light as an environmentally friendly, chemical-free, and highly effective way to disinfect and safeguard water against harmful microorganisms.
What is alkaline?
Alkaline is a measurement of the ability to absorb acid. The more alkaline a liquid, the less acidic it will be. Alkaline water is rich in alkalizing compounds, including calcium, potassium, magnesium, and bicarbonate. All naturally occurring minerals found in Flow Water.
What does Flow Water do for my body?
Throughout a typical day, we consume acidic foods and deplete our body of minerals and electrolytes essential to staying balanced and hydrated. With a natural pH of 8.1 and packed with naturally occurring minerals, Flow Water offers your body a more alkaline balance and keeps you hydrated to stay focused, healthy and happy.
How does the water maintain its pH within the pack?
The pH is sensitive to oxygen exposure. So once the pack is filled, the water remains totally shut off from oxygen and sunlight throughout the remaining production process. The first time our water sees sunlight is when you open it and enjoy.
What percentage of the package is made with renewable resources?
Close to 70% of the paperboard is from responsibly harvested forests.
What is a renewable resource?
Renewable resources are natural resources that, if managed properly, are replaced by natural processes at a rate comparable to, or faster than, they are used up. Wood, hemp, corn are all examples of natural, renewable resources. Our packaging partner, Tetra Pak’s ultimate goal is to be able to offer a fully renewable carton package for liquid food.
Is the Flow Water pack recyclable? Is recycling available where I live?
Yes. Flow Water is 100% recyclable. Our partner, Tetra Pak, has worked hard to increase the percentage of households with access to recycling. Visit tetrapak.com to find a recycling center near you.
What is the Flow Water cap made out of?
Our cap is made up of plastic derived from sugar cane, therefore improving the environmental performance of the pack. This increases the renewable content of the pack and decreases the overall pack carbon footprint.
Is your water Kosher?
Yes, indeed! All Flow Water products are certified Kosher.
What is the shelf life for Flow Water?
We suggest Flow Water is consumed within 24 months for the best tasting, highest quality water.
