Your Gut Needs This Smoothie (Recipe)
Did someone say green gut smoothie? That’s right!
Created by dietitian-nutritionist, Tracy Lockwood Beckerman, the Green (Gut) Machine Smoothie packs in powerful gut-supporting superbugs—known as prebiotics and probiotics—that help to keep your gut happy and healthy.
Green (Gut) Machine Smoothie
Serving size: 1 Total time: 5 minutes
Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegetarian
+ ½ cup lemon + ginger Flow
+ ½ cup ice
+ 2 cups frozen spinach
+ 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
+ 1 frozen banana
+ ½ cup papaya
+ ½ cup frozen pineapple
+ ½ cup milk of choice
+ ½ cup greek yogurt
+ 1 teaspoon spirulina
1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
2. Blend for 30 to 60 seconds. Add more Flow to reach desired consistency. Enjoy immediately.
Thanks to the banana, papaya, and Greek yogurt in this smoothie, your GI (aka gastrointestinal) system will be balanced, helping to calm your mood (and belly), regulate your GI tract, and keep your immune system in check.
